Cousins in Colorado: Video Time

I thought we'd share a few videos from when Rex, Ashley, and the girls were in town. Cole posted some other ones on his blog, too.
Here are Paige and Alexia braving the "cold" Colorado weather to play outside.
Here are Rex and Paige chasing Uncle Ryan.
The Seminary places fake coyotes in their lawn to scare away the geese. It doesn't work but they are quite funny to look at.

Visitors Galore!

The last month and a half we have been blessed with visits from many friends and family. Here's a rundown of the who, when, and what.

Ryan Asdourian and his girlfriend Leslie flew in from Seattle for a weekend of skiing. We skied Vail on a Friday, then Beaver Creek on Saturday and Sunday. Thanks to Asdo's mom, we got a great discounted rate to stay at the Ritz, which was quite the experience. It was so much fun to hit the slopes and hang out in the hotel. Emily was so awesome as she stayed in with Cole while we were skiing -- such a great wife, friend, and mommy!
Stephen and Amy Hobson were in town for some skiing of their own and stopped by to join us for dinner on Valentine's Day! It was great to catch up with them and for Amy to finally meet Cole.
Our good friend Shanon was in town from the mountains with her son, Truett, so they joined us for dinner. It was a blast watching Cole and Truett play and interact with each other. Tracie just moved to Denver and so she joined us for dinner as well :) She is now one of Cole's biggest fans! Finally, we just had a visit from my brother Rex, his wife Ashely, and their girls Paige (3) and Alexia (2). They flew out for a whole week and stayed with their friends about 20 minutes from us. We went over there for dinner one night, then they came over to our place a couple times for dinner. Rex and I also spent a day skiing at Copper Mountain. The girls even got a chance to see some snow and throw some snowballs. It's so fun when the cousins have a chance to get together. Thanks for coming out to see us!!!

Catching Up - Florida Christmas

We flew to Orlando to spend Christmas with the Roberts side of the family. To see more pictures from our Florida Christmas, visit this photo album on Facebook.
Silly Papa and Aunt Janis flew down from Michigan to hang out for a few days. Here is a video of Silly Papa meeting Cole for the first time.

Four generations of Roberts men.

We went to Rex & Ashley's church on Christmas Eve to see Paige sing.

The whole Roberts family all together for the first time.
Here we are on Christmas morning opening stockings and hanging out.

At one point we had 17 people in the house on Christmas Day. Uncle Scot, Aunt Shari, Derek, and Brendan came by for a couple hours. Joe and Candy (Ashley's parents) drove over from Lutz to have Christmas dinner with us. It was so great seeing everyone.

Here we are enjoying our Christmas Dinner.

From the Past: July 28 - August 3

After Alycia flew home, we began our last week together in Florida, full of packing and getting ready for Ryan's big trip with the high school guys. But we also found some time to go to Jose's with the kids for Taco Tuesday, and to go bowling with them as well.
Our good friends Som and Jessica stopped by to meet Cole and to chat for a couple hours. With Som's busy Young Life schedule, and Jessica's busy med school schedule, we were so glad we got to hang out with them before we left.

The hardest thing about moving was saying goodbye to the youth kids. We miss them a ton. Here is a picture of Matt finally holding a baby for the first time, albeit in a car seat.

Right after Ryan left on the Man Trip with the high school guys, Emily headed up to Lutz for Paige's 3rd birthday party. She had a great time, and especially loved getting her own UCF jersey. She probably loves going to the football games more than Rex does.Tomorrow, find out what happened on the infamous "Man Trip", and learn what Emily, Cole, and Grandma Bentley did to pass the time while Ryan was gone.

Mission Possible: Cal & Erin Hitched

Last weekend I had the honor of officiating a wedding between my cousin, Cal, and his new bride, Erin. It was a great weekend of seeing family and celebrating Cal & Erin's lifelong commitment to one another. I even got a chance to do the Gator Chomp all over the OSU campus. The only bad thing was being away from Emily & Cole for 2 days :(
